In 1126 Chiba Tsuneshige built a castle here. However, this is not that castle. So actually Chiba City built this generic early Edo period castle in Inohana park to replace the Sengoku period one. The castle is on a small hill within only a small park.
There is no castle with a high-rise castle tower in the first half of Kamakura, where Mr. Chiba ruled, and the current building seems to be a simulated castle. In addition, the area around the museum has been maintained as an park, and is a famous place for flowers with about 100 cherry blossoms.

All of them are barrier-free, so there are no major problems in viewing them in a wheelchair. The 5th floor of the top is an observation room with an outside balcony that can go around the castle tower. There is a simple ramp at the entrance and the corridor can be circled by wheelchair. You can get a panoramic view of Chiba City and Chiba Port.
Even if you approach the road where you can see the Chiba City Folk Museum (Chiba Castle) in the back, there is only a general parking lot in front.
In fact, the wheelchair-accessible parking lot is directly in front of the castle if you enter the site from the road on the left side of the photo and turn right. If you ask the security guard to use the wheelchair-accessible parking lot, he will direct you.
To the left of the wheelchair-accessible parking lot, there are stairs leading to the front entrance of the building. If you look to the left, you will see a long ramp that goes around half of the castle. The area in front of the entrance on the back side of this ramp is steep, so it's best to have a helper with you.
