ANIMAL WONDER REZOURT is located near Lake Takataki, surrounded by water and greenery. In 2021, Ichihara Elephant Kingdom reopened as a new resort-style zoo. It is an interactive zoo with many animals, centered around elephants, and boasts the largest number of elephants in Japan. The daily shows featuring talented elephants are very popular.
Physically, the person is at a level where they are able to walk, or are accompanied by a caregiver.
In terms of facilities, there are large steps or slopes, no parking space, etc., making it difficult for people to move around in a wheelchair alone, and a certain level of assistance is required, such as walking or lifting the wheelchair.
ANIMAL WONDER REZOURT is located on a slope covering approximately 3.5 hectares, so the paths from the entrance to the back of the park have an average gradient of about 3%. However, the areas around each facility are flat.
For wheelchair users, some park paths have inclines exceeding 7%, so renting a "WHILL" scooter, which can automatically navigate rough terrain without a license, would be a good idea.
There are four wheelchair-accessible restrooms within the park.
○access(Railway)：Please take our free shuttle bus (approximately 10 minutes) from Takataki Station on the Kominato Railway. There are no taxis stationed at Takataki Station. The free shuttle bus is by reservation only.
○access(Taxi)：It takes about 20 minutes by taxi from Kazusa-Ushiku Station (Kominato Railway Line) to ANIMAL WONDER REZOURT.
○access(Car)：Approximately 5 minutes from the Ken-O Expressway "Ichihara Tsurumai IC"

You purchase your admission ticket at the "Ticket Office/Entrance" located right at the park entrance before entering. The park map on the official website also shows the "Ticket Office/Entrance" at the entrance.
After entering and passing the "Welcome" sign, turn right, and you'll find a long, gently sloping paved path, which is the main route.
Some of the main pathways which elephants pass by are unpaved and have a considerable incline, so we recommend renting a "WHILL" scooter.

WHILL Model R：Comfortable for parking and navigating narrow streets. Sufficient step-climbing ability is 5cm.It can climb a 15% incline.
Ichihara Elephant Kingdom has multi-purpose restrooms that are easily accessible for wheelchair users.
