At this time of year, when we wait for the arrival of spring, the plum blossoms are in full bloom, creating a beautiful landscape that seems to be wrapped in a pink veil. Why not visit a famous plum blossom spot where various types of plum blossoms, including red plum blossoms, white plum blossoms, and weeping plum blossoms, are woven together to create a beautiful pink gradation, and feel the signs of early spring?
There are many famous plum blossom viewing spots in Chiba Prefecture, but we will introduce two of them: Naritasan Park and Sakura Joshi Park.
There are four locations in Chiba Prefecture where you can view the flower of plum from a wheelchair.
At Naritasan, about 360 red and white plum trees bloom from mid-February to early March, coloring the grounds. The best time to see them is near the entrance to Naritasan Park behind the east side of the Great Main Hall and near the Western-style garden.
The plum grove in this historical park, developed on the ruins of Sakura Castle from the Edo period, is home to about 100 red and white plum trees and is said to be one of Chiba Prefecture's most famous plum viewing spots.
