When it comes to sightseeing spots in Chiba Prefecture, the Boso Peninsula is the first to come to mind. The Boso Peninsula is influenced by the Kuroshio Current and is relatively warm in the Kanto region.
For the past 20 years, local residents have been sowing rapeseed seeds in autumn at over 10 locations along the Kominato Railway line, which runs north and south through Ichihara City, Chiba Prefecture. From mid-March to mid-April, a great number of rapeseed flowers bloom in abundance, creating a picturesque combination with the railway.
Also known as Nanohana Road, the Nanohana flowers planted on a vast area of ​​about 33,000 square meters near Prefectural Route 24 are a spectacular sight. Events are held during the flowering season.

The best time to view

Narita Dream Farm has a rapeseed flower field that is in full bloom in spring. The view from the trolley train is beautiful. There will also be a rapeseed flower picking event from late March to early April.
An event is held at the sunflower fields of Narita Yume Farm every year from late July to late August, where you can enjoy the hybrid sunflower Sunfinity Apollo.
The rapeseed fields at Mother Farm are very large, and from mid-February to early April, there are many "flower paths" that you can walk through the flower fields. You can enjoy viewing the flowers up close, taking photos surrounded by the rapeseed flowers in 360 degrees, and enjoying interacting with them.
At Tokyo German Village, 1.5 million rapeseed flowers decorate the entrance to welcome visitors from late December to mid-February. At night, the rapeseed flowers and illuminations create a truly fantastical atmosphere.
