This station is on the JR Narita Line, and the JR Kashima Line also serves Sawara. The platform has two sides and four tracks, with platform 0 mainly used for the Kashima Line.Upbound trains and the first train to the Kashima Line can be accessed from the ticket gate without using stairs.For the lower train, cross the overpass (with elevator) from the ticket gate and board the train from Platforms 2 and 3.
There are 19 buses(Community bus/route bus) a day from Sawara Station to Katori Jingu, and the ride takes 10 to 15 minutes.

The railroad tracks and the station building are on the first floor.There are 4 stairs down to the station square.
There are 2 elevators from the ticket office to the platform 2 and 3, which are wheelchair accessible. The inside of the station building is flat all the way to the ticket gate. There are two slopes between the ticket gate and the station square that bypass the stairs.

Sawara's station was an imposing one with a purely Japanese-style tiled roof and noren curtains. It seems to represent the pride of Little Edo.

At the rotary in front of the station, you will be greeted by a statue of Tadataka Ino, a man who everyone must have learned about during history.
At Sawara Station, Platform 1 is the main up and down line, and Platforms 2 and 3 are treated as siding tracks, but they have elevators.
